As you all know we here in the ACW office are straight shooters and with that said we’ll (I’ll) shoot straight.
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND (as to avoid libel)…the person I go through to book the Dove Springs Rec Center in Austin, TX was booking the ACW dates in a way that wasn’t “correct procedure” as far as the city officials are concerned and ACW never existed in the “books” of the rec center. So with that said I have a meeting on December 3rd with the person in charge of rec center bookings in Austin, TX to discuss ACW’s usage of The Dove Springs Recreation center for future events, including The December 13th date. So long story short, the paper work wasn’t correctly filed and ACW is going to suffer…and we are going to suffer at a not-so-awesome time to get f*cked. We (Mike Knoxville is an angel) have worked as hard as humanly possible to find a venue to host the 2008 Lone Star Classic on December 13th and we have found a suitable replacement Venue. It is very disappointing that people cannot live up to their end of an agreement. I truly believe that this was all cause of a mistake and in no way an act of malice. I also believe that moving this event to San Antonio will help the event (plus in 2 weeks time a new venue in Austin wasn’t going to happen). I know I’ve said it many times before, but please believe in ACW as ACW believes in its fans. The talent for December 13th hasn’t changed at all.
